Access to the Transmission Network
Transmission capacity can be booked separately for entry points and exit points and under contracts with durations ranging from several hours for several years. This approach allows customers to build up flexible and effective portfolios.
Interested shippers have access to the transmission system in accordance with the commercial and technical conditions (Download section).
- Customer registration
- Complete the Registration form and Tax form
- Submit a current extract from the Business Register not older than 30 days, accompanied by an official translation into Slovak or English
- Submit a copy of the energy business authorisation, if available (in Slovak or English)
- Sign the Framework Contract for Access to the Transmission System and Gas Transmission (hereinafter “Framework Contract”) and
- Sign the Title Transfer Service Contract in case of interest in trading through the Virtual Trading Point (VTP)
- Customer registration on booking platforms
- Providing a financial guarantee in accordance with the requirements of the Operational Order
- Booking of transmission capacities
- When the above requirements are met, the customer is entitled to book transmission capacities at the entry and exit points of the transmission system.
- The customer may choose one of the following entry/exit points for entering/exiting the system

- The booking of transmission capacity and subsequent confirmation of the allocation of transmission capacity constitute the conclusion of a partial contract as an integral part of the Framework Contract.
- As an alternative to concluding a Framework Contract, the customer interested in services related to transmission to the domestic point and to points with third countries may submit a signed Request for Access to the Transmission System and Gas Transmission, which is to be delivered in a paper form along with the completed registration forms and a current extract from the Business Register of the Slovak Republic.
- The general terms and conditions of transmission and capacity allocation are set forth in the Operational Order of EUSTREAM.
- Transmission nominations and allocation of transmission quantities
- A transmission capacity holder may make gas nominations and a title transfer service user has the right to submit trade notifications for gas transmission between two users within a balancing zone.
- Gas transmission nominations and trade notifications can be submitted in the manner provided in NC INT:
- Interactively through the web by logging into the customer zone and entering the values
- Through document exchange using the AS4 transfer protocol. Supported document formats are edig@s version 4.0 and edig@s version 5.1.
- Single sided nominations can be used at the EU points where EUSTREAM has the role of passive transmission system operator for all EU points
- The transmission quantity allocation rules are agreed for each interconnection point in the related interconnection agreement with the respective transmission and storage system operator. For the specific allocation arrangements refer to Publication of Information, part INT NC
