Eustream and Gaz-System prepares Open Season for PL-SK interconnection
Slovak transmission system operator Eustream and its Polish counterpart Gaz-System prepare binding Open Season Procedure for planned Poland – Slovakia gas interconnection. The aim of the Open Season with expected launch at late July/beginning August will be to allocate and sell respective transmission capacities of the planned pipeline. At the present time, the preparation of the Rules of Open Season are being finished, its final reading will be published in due time.
The project of gas interconnection Poland – Slovakia enters new phase
Bratislava June 30, 2016 – Slovak transmission system operator Eustream and its Polish counterpart Gaz-System prepare binding Open Season Procedure for planned Poland – Slovakia gas interconnection. The aim of the Open Season with expected launch at late July/beginning August will be to allocate and sell respective transmission capacities of the planned pipeline. At the present time, the preparation of the Rules of Open Season are being finished, its final reading will be published in due time.
The project Poland – Slovakia interconnection is a part of the EU energy infrastructure priority corridor “North-South gas interconnections in Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe (‘NSI East Gas’)”. Gas Interconnection Poland - Slovakia will ensure the diversification of sources, routes and stability of gas supplies to both countries, as well as will enhance the competitiveness of the internal gas market. Gas Interconnection Poland – Slovakia will enable the Polish market participants to access the so-called Southern Corridor. As a result of commissioning of the Gas Interconnection Poland - Slovakia, Slovak market participants will be able to import gas being offered on the Polish market, especially the gas obtained in the regasification process in the LNG terminal.
