Information day for shippers in Bratislava
Eustream and FGSZ received today representatives of shippers interested in transmission capacities in Slovak-Hungarian Interconnector at Information day held in Bratislava.Information day is the next step of binding phase of Open Season process open for applicants submitting their binding bids for transmission capacities in the planned gas interconnection. Nine shippers from several European countries used the opportunity to meet both partners of the project, transmission system operators from Slovakia and Hungary, and to discuss all the relevant topics.
Representatives of Slovak TSO Eustream and Hungarian company FGSZ answered numerous questions related to updated conditions for binding bids. The most discussed topics included changed conditions for booking requirements, structure and duration of booked lots and new rules for financial guarantees adjusted in the re-launched binding phase of Open Season process.
“We believe in success of this project. In Eustream, the decision on building interconnection can be taken very quickly, right after the evaluation of binding Open Season”, said Antoine Jourdain, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Eustream.
If the binding phase of Open Season process will be evaluated as successful, new gas interconnector could be put into operation at the beginning of 2014. Participants can submit their binding bids for transmission capacity till 8 December and the results will be published at the end of December 2010.
