Additional firm capacity increase at the Interconnection Point Veľké Zlievce/Balassagyarmat from Hungary to Slovakia

Dear Partners,

We would like to inform you that as a result of the recent negotiations between eustream a.s. and FGSZ Ltd., Slovak and Hungarian TSOs intend to offer additional firm capacity at the IP Veľké Zlievce/Balassagyarmat (EIC 21Z0000000358C) from Hungary to Slovakia.

Bilateral negotiations have already started between our companies to amend the relevant Interconnection Agreement and FGSZ Ltd. has also initiated the amendment of its operational licence with the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority.

Accordingly, the firm capacity at the IP Veľké Zlievce/Balassagyarmat is expected to increase up to 5,300,315 kWh/h (from 3.5 bcma to 4.38 bcma) from Hungary to Slovakia most probably in the calendar year 2025 after the completion of the necessary works.

We will inform our partners about the offer of the increased capacity at capacity auctions in a separate anoncement.

The firm capacity increase at the Slovak - Hungarian interconnection point is an important part of the Vertical Corridor.
