World Gas Conference 2009

The company eustream, a.s. will be representing Slovakia and the Slovak gas industry at the 24th World Gas Conference in Argentina.

Eustream represented Slovakia and the Slovak gas industry at the 24th World Gas Conference in Argentina. The Conference that also included a gas exhibition, took place in Buenos Aires from 5 – 9 October, 2009 under the title 24th World Gas Conference (WGC) at La Rural Exhibition and Conference Centre, Buenos Aires

WGC presented results of studies and held discussions on a broad scope of topics included in the three-year program of works for years 2006 – 2009. Parallel to the congress the world gas exhibition, covering the area of about 15 000 m2 , was a show-case of the most advanced technologies and products developed in the area of energy industry as well as energy related sectors.

The concept of the program for 2006-2009 was based on “retrospective/perspective” analysis of experience and challenges of the global gas industry reflecting development of a collective outlook towards 2030.
The key areas were as follows::

1. Global energy challenge: reviewing the strategies for natural gas towards 2030
2. Contribution of natural gas industry in terms of security of supply, safety and environment
3. Integration of regional gas markets as a key driver for sustainable economic growth
